The results of a recent education and training survey are in. Thank you to all who took the time to answer the questions. We had a 70% participation rate. The information gathered has helped the local education committee to focus on providing relevant education and training opportunities for the Belledune area. Presently, the education committee is comprised of local educators, representatives from CCNB – Campbellton Campus and the University of New Brunswick, as well as the community development officer. The committee’s immediate plan is to mail a monthly flyer advising the general public about the numerous educational and training opportunities offered in the area. We hope to offer as many programs as are feasible in Belledune, however, there are also many opportunities in the region for specialized training for trades and professional occupations.
